Onawa Bible Baptist Church
"But if I tarry long, that thou mayest know how thou oughtest to behave thyself in the house of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth."
1 Timothy 3:15

10:00 AMSunday School

Onawa Bible Baptist Church consistently works through the Bible in a four year program.  We use the curriculum from Answers in Genesis called Answers Bible Curriculum (ABC).  ABC goes through the entire Bible in the order the events actually happened, helping it make sense. From PreK to Adults, ABC allows the whole family to learn and grow together, covering the same Sunday school lessons at the same time. ABC is filled with scripture and encourages believers in their faith, equipping them with answers for a skeptical world.

PreK (ages 2-5)

First and Second Grade (ages 6-9)

Middle School and High School (ages 10-17)

11:00 AMSunday Morning Worship
Onawa Bible Baptist Church believes that the church is supposed to be the pillar and ground of the Truth.  That means that the Word of God is to the be center of all the church's faith and practice.  Every Sunday morning at 11 am, Pastor Sperling opens up the Word of God and systematically teaches through it verse-by-verse.  Come prepared to have your soul fed.

6:30 PMSunday Evening Prayer and Bible Study
On Sunday evenings, the church comes together at 6:30 for prayer meeting.  Then at 7:00, we meet together upstairs in the small auditorium.  And just like Sunday morning, Pastor Sperling will open up the Word of God and teach through a particular passage, verse-by-verse, exposing the meaning and helping to clarify an accurate application to the lives of God's people.  Everyone is invited to come and be challenged and encouraged.

6:30 PMBible Club and Youth for Truth
On Wednesday evenings, Onawa Bible Baptist Church hosts two separate services for the youth of our area.
In the downstairs area of the church, Miss Melissa Feige leads a youth class called Bible Club.  This class is designed for ages 4-9.  In the class, Melissa and other adult workers lead the kids in games, songs, and a Sunday School lesson geared to their age range. Come and check it out.

Upstairs, the small auditorium, the older youth (ages 10-18) meet together in a youth class geared more toward them.  Pastor Sperling and two or three adult workers lead this class.  There is singing, interactive games, and teaching from the Word of God.  The young people are often challenged to make sure that they know their heart is right with God.

7:00 PMMidweek Service
OBBC's Thursday night evening service is much like a Sunday night service.  The church comes together in the upstairs small auditorium.  We open up the Scripture and we are taught the Word of God.  The same systematic precision of studying the Word of God, verse-by-verse is found on Thursday night midweek service.  All are welcomed!
